P&G enlisted actress/singer Demi Lovato as Secret deodorant’s “Mean Stinks” ambassador, for its year-long anti-bullying campaign that is gearing up in time for National Bullying Prevention Month, which is in October.

To kick off the campaign, Lovato visited The Young Women’s Leadership School, a college prep all- girls public school in East Harlem, New York. Lovato is asking teen girls to “Gang up for Good” by painting their pinky nails blue in support of peace and solidarity.

To further inspire change, P&G and Secret have awarded a P&G grant to leading researchers on youth social aggression at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. These researchers are being asked to develop an anti-bullying curriculum, which may be implemented as a pilot program in select schools this coming year.
